READING

TASK 1
Read the text and decide which of the facts bellow are TRUE, FALSE or NOT STATED.

Travel to Mars
Every 2 years, Mars comes within 55 million km of Earth and this is the perfect time to begin a mission to the red planet by shuttle. However, it’s hard to imagine anyone would want to live there. Two major issues of the flight are human safety and cost. There is still a lot of research to be done about Mars. The question of who is going to pay for this trip is also important.
The greatest difficulty of a mission to Mars is the fact that people need constant supplies of air, water and food. It is impractical to bring them all for such a long mission and it’s impossible to achieve their recycling.
There are some theories to make the space travel faster. One of them is to travel through space by wormhole. A wormhole can connect long distances such as a billion light years or more to short distances. However, it’s only a theory.
Another technology is the technology of a warp drive. With this technology we could reach Mars in minutes, live on Mars and turn it into the second Earth.
Although, we still rely on rocket technology to reach Mars. At least we know that it is possible to send human beings there.
