Why Games Are Important

From childhood, we have been engaged in some form of physical activity, whether it can be playing with our friends, running around, or joining a sports team. Sports and games are a great way to keep children active and healthy.
Children enjoy games together, get exercise, learn how to play cooperatively and develop self-esteem. One of the most obvious benefits of sports and games is physical fitness.
In today’s world, regular exercise can help students stay active and healthy and reduce the risk of obesity, heart disease, and other health problems.
In addition to physical fitness, games also have significant mental health benefits. Regular physical activity can help reduce stress. Mental health is essential for students to be able to focus and succeed in school.
Also, games give students an excellent opportunity to develop social skills. Participating in team games, for example, can help students learn how to work together, communicate effectively, and resolve conflicts.
When playing on a team, students are often given opportunities to lead; they can be team captains or play other roles. These experiences can help students develop the confidence and skills they need to become leaders in other areas of their lives. Students can develop leadership skills when they play sports and games as they learn to work together as a team.
Games also teach kids about time management and discipline. Moreover, it can also be used as a career path or hobby. Besides, it helps students reduce stress and depression.
Nowadays English is becoming more and more important. Teaching English to the young learners is not easy because English is not their mother tongue and it is a new thing for them. Games can be used to give practice in all language skills. Young learners love to play, and they participate in a game with more enthusiasm and willingness than in any other classroom task.
